Actually I think this is what the line from the prophecy, One must Die
by the hand of the other, means. Perhaps it means that somehow these
parts have to be joined together to finally die.

Valky:
Yes I think there is a strong connection between the two things, which
is hinted at repeatedly by Dumbledore saying that LV believes death is
the worst thing that can happen to a person. Voldie is definitely
Ghost material.
