I don't agree with this at all. The Umbridge is far, far more abusive
than Snape will ever be: Umbridge is deliberately preventing the
children form learning DADA. She may very well be incompetent as well,
but we don't know that. Her sole and onle purpose as a DADA teacher is
making sure the children will have no practical knowledge of the
subject at all. Why? Because Fudge is afraid... Lots of stuff people
learn in DADA is essential knowledge in the ww (see al the creatures
in PoA) and to make sure the children do not learn this stuff is not
only abusive it is criminal and dangerous. Snape at least teaches his
subject and wants his students to do well.
