GEO: Dumbledore controlled access of magical transportation such as 
apparition, portkeys and possibly even floo channels because of his 
position as headmaster. Any portkey that didn't have his blessing 
would simply not work and that would include any unauthorized 
portkey that Barty Crouch Jr would have tried to make to kidnapp 
Harry.

GEO: Then why outside the maze? He and Cedric were taken to the 
graveyard at the maze's center so shouldn't he have been spit back 
out at the center instead of outside the maze according to your 
theory?
