Why yes - but I suppose that had to take place while he was a 
student... OR during that interview! Harry 'thought he saw' him reach 
for his wand to do something... (I think Tom had obliviated Dumbledore 
about casting spells there or something...)

For the other thing: Gryffindor's sword cannot possibly be a horcrux. 
Cannot, because it wasn't until the end of Harry's second year at 
Hogwarts that the sword came out of the hat. And it took a *true 
Gryffindor* to draw it out. It's just not possible for Tom Riddle 
alias Voldemort - a Slytherin - to have gained access to the Sword. It 
was in the hat until 12-year-old Harry took it out and afterwards 
Dumbledore was watching it. Now that Dumbledore is dead, though...
