Actually he has a tendency to act like a child abuser.  For which 
there is, and can be, no mercy.

Errr... and what's your point?  What exactly about any of that gives 
Snape the moral right to act as he does?  And I don't for one minute 
buy..."Because it's all right in the eyes of the wizarding world."
