I took it to mean that the curse continues to cut, which would go
along with the copious bleeding, not that it leaves a permanent scar
or that it means cut without fail. Compare to Rictus Sempra, a curse
that leaves its receivers unable to stop laughing.  Too bad we don't
know the name of the curse on the book that its victim couldn't stop
reading.
