colebiancardi:
canon states that Regulus Black, brother to Sirius and cousins to
Bella and Narcissa(who then married into the Malfoy family), was in
the same house as Snape. Regulus is a year or two younger than Snape.
I think that is the connection on how Snape met Bella and the rest of
the DE's. and since the members in your house are like your
"family"(again, canon), it might be that Snape & Regulus were like
brothers - and that would explain why Sirius hated Snape - because he
hated the dark side of his family. Also, since Snape knew "more
hexes and curses" than most 7th years, that would explain why James
hated Snape at first sight - because James hates anything to do with
dark magic.
