I believe that Snape is Dumbledore's man and that he told DD all
about the unbreakable vow etc. I found MM's response when told of
DD's death a little bit strange. Had he not confided in her? If he
was sure that this was the way that things were going to end, then
surely he must have prepared MM for it. Could someone shed some
light?
