It isn't canon, but I wouldn't have a hard time believing that
considering the number of ministry workers involved with the Order that
whoever, or whatever it is that keeps track of these things were fixed
not to notice the magic that night. They were able to plan for that.
There was no way to hide the unplanned magic at Harry's.
