I agree. I do believe that it is more important to do what is right
than to obey rules/orders. Which, of course, does not mean that rules
are unimportant. It's just that in case of say Harry standing up for
Neville at age eleven in PS when Draco took the Remembrall despite
being told not to move.

You know, Harry *did* expect a punishment - but instead, he got
himself into the team. And then as he later says 'it's really thanks
to Malfoy I got it.' And Hermione snorts about 'reward for breaking
rules.' She did not see that Harry was defending Neville against a
bully which is where this reward came from IMO. If only one
school-child would follow Harry's example in that - defend a
schoolmate - I'd say the world would be a better place.
