I didn't catch the significance of the snake being *milked* since that
is the verb commonly used for harvesting venom from a snake, and I
guess I didn't read the post where you pointed it out previously.
I think you're right about Baby!Mort/Nagini as a horrible parody of the
mother/child relationships depicted elsewhere in the books, but does
she have to be Horcrux for that to work? Could Nagini be LV's
surrogate mother literally? Could she have birthed him?
Someone awhile back suggested that Wormtail might have used Bertha
Jorkins' womb to bring Baby!Mort into the world. I like it, but I
think it's way too gruesome for the Harry Potter books (the editors at
Time Warner would never allow, I'm sure, even if that is what was in
Rowling's mind). What if the snake was used instead?
