a Dark object intended to seduce the reader into opening the Chamber
of Secrets and releasing the Basilisk to kill "Mudbloods," but it was
not Horcrux because he didn't yet have the knowledge.

Brothergib writes;
Yes that makes sense. I think it often a mistake that I (and others)
often make not to seperate the object and what it does from the fact
that the object is a Horcrux. Also if he did it at Hogwarts, then it
surely would have had some effect on his appearance, and maybe DD
would have picked up on that.

Brothergib writes;
Another excellent point and more evidence for Nagini Horcrux. Playing
Devil's advocate - what did Nagini do for all the years that
Voldemort was Vapormort? And why did he suddenley reappear? And why
didn't Voldemort possess Nagini to contact death eaters or to give
himeself a body (sort of). And finally, is it simply a case of
killing Nagini to destroy the Horcrux?
