      You are absolutely right, Alla, and I hadn't really considered 
that before.  I read and re-read books until they are dog-eared, but in 
this instance, what would be the point of going through Harry's life at 
school again, if he doesn't survive?  This series of books has become so 
much a part of the lives of so many people, for so many years, that the 
characters are like family members. The ending of these books, whether 
satisfying, or unsatisfying, is really going to interfere with the usual 
re-reading of a story. I also could not throw them away, even if she 
kills Snape, who is my favourite character, but I probably won't read 
them again either.
