and yet they have done exactly that with Peter Pan - Geraldine McCaughrean
has been chosen to write the official sequel to the story of Peter Pan. I
can quite understand JKR's desire to keep her character for herself. Good
writing or bad writing, they have written sequels to Austen, the Brontes,
Dickens, Du Maurier, etc etc, and in the process the brainchild morphs into
something else...
