You said earlier:

Rephrased, you're saying that since she _is_ the author's alter ego,
you _do_ feel safe betting that. Which I think is a bit ridiculous -
it's basically either an argument that she's not flawed, or, at the
very least, that none of her flaws will have consequences. That was
what I was responding to.
