The Fidelius Charm

I've been wondering about this charm for a long time and the more
theories I hear the more this snippet bugs me.

If Harry's location was protected by the Fidelius charm then how is
it people can ever know his location now without Pettigrew
personally telling them?

Even death of the secret keeper does not stop the charm working so
why has this charm been inactivated? And why is Hagrid able to
locate Harry straight after the incident?

My last thought is about using the FC in conjuntion with a UV. Do
you think that these two could be done together. Say PP is secret
keeper then takes UV promising not to tell either LV or DE's the
whereabouts of the Potters. If this was so then all of the Order
could know where the Potters where but could never pass the
information on.
