But, in the books don't Harry and Ron express a certain amount of 
disappointment that either Crabbe and Goyle don't fail out of their 
classes?  Harry might claim ignorance of the system (though if Hogwarts 
follows typical UK rules, why would Harry be ignorant), but Ron's got 
his brothers.  Surely he'd have a clue as to whether or not it's even 
possible to fail out of a class?
