My wife came up with the best potential ending that I have heard yet.
It may have been suggested previously, so my apologies if I'm stepping
on anyones toes.

It seems that HRH will see this through to the end together. Let us
suppose then that Lord Voldemort has gained the upper hand and has our
three heroes at his mercy. We are constantly told that LV
underestimates the powerful magic that defeated him first time around.
In fact, since he was reborn wih Harry's blood, it seems that LV
regards himself immune from this particular magic (when it is
associated with Harry). Would LV consider a 'poetic irony' in offering
Harry a choice - his life or that of his friends? To test if
Harry's 'love' is as great as his mother's. However, as DD put it, this
is magic at its most impenetrable. In repeating the scenario at GH,
would LV bring about his own destruction - again?

All speculation of course, but as endings go, I really like it.
