Dumbledore is a master of understatement.  He doesn't 
sound too upset here either:

"Very good," murmured Dumbledore.  "So the Death Eaters 
were able to pass from Borgin and Burkes into the school 
to help you . . . A clever plan, a very clever plan . . . and, 
as you say, right under my nose."

I can almost hear the tone of voice, the one that would make 
my gluteus muscles contract if he were my boss.
