I speculate that Ron, Harry, and Hermione hired a 
ghost writer (no, not that kind of ghost) whose 
name I won't mention but her initials are JKR.

Each of them wrote their own independent account 
of the events of their Seven Years at Hogwarts,
and the /ghost/ writer compiled it all into a
single coherent story told from Harry's 
perspective. ...or not.

Of course, a few of the names and dates had to be
change to protect the innocent ...or guilty as the
case may be. 

Just a thought.
