Perhaps DD used "wingardium leviosa" on a baseball bat and whacked 
Grindelwald on the head with it, a la Harry, Ron, and the troll in 
PS.  :)  Due to the fact that he was now unconscious, Grindelwald 
then DROPPED the Elder Wand, and Dumbledore accio'd it.
