Hi David; you've driven me out of lurkdom to post one of my personal
favorite (pointless) theories.
I've always liked to think that when Hagrid replied to Harry's asking
how he got to the Rock, Harry thinks he says "Flew" but in fact he
said, "Floo".
Of course this requires that there be another fireplace on the tiny
island, but canon doesn't entirely rule this out, does it?
Anyway, I like to think that this episode is one of JKR's sly little
jokes, purely for her own enjoyment (well, and mine :-D).
Jo S., who doesn't think that this is one of the questions likely to
be answered in DH.
