The whole HPB business demonstrates just what kind of student
Hermione is, an expert researcher and exact follower of instructions
completely lacking in originality. Her essays are undoubtedly
detailed, perfect and dull as one of Professor Binn's lectures. I
seriously doubt whether she has ever made the step from rote
memorization to conceptualizing knowledge.
