On the topic of Harry as the son of God, wouldn't that whole virgin birth be a wonderful plot twist?? Maybe James and Lily aren't as...hm...involved as we all thought.

On a more serious note, I've read all the posts on this idea, and I truly cannot see where it's coming from.? I don't see Harry as the son of God or any kind of Christ figure.? I think it makes the series more powerful if he's just a regular boy who happened to have extraordinary circumstances.? He wasn't destined to this from birth, it was thrust upon him by some vague prophect.? IMVHO, I like Harry as just the kid next door (or under the stairs).
