DH: The silver doe as Lily's patronus?

Like Bart, the moment I saw the doe, I thought directly that was
Snape's Patronus because of his love for Lily, but I didn't think that
was Lily's patronus, I was thinking more that that was Lily' animagus.
Are we really certain that it was Lily's patronus, because it was not
really stated in the book everybody just assumed. Of course we don't
know if Lily was an animagi when she was alive, though I'm still
thinking that the doe is her animagus. cheers.
