What happended to Mos Morde in this book anyway. The Dark Mark
wasn;t cast into the sky once this entire book, not even during the
final battle.

Well, from what I remember of that scene on top of the tower, some
had made it up, and the barrier was probably cast afterwards. So
Fenrir was probably on the other side of the barrier, and did not
need to go through it.
