I believe that Moldy Shorts felt that Horcrux being destroyed (Harry's
piece of Voldy soul) - I think the reason he felt it is that he did it
to himself. As opposed to the others, his soul was so damaged that he
couldn't determine when any of the others were destroyed, including
the last one. But LV himself destroyed his own Horcrux when he AK'd
Harry, which I expect has a far greater impact on the Horcrux owner
that when someone else does it.
Oddly enough, I had wondered after the end of HBP if something wild
would happen if someone destroyed their own Horcrux...
