I just posted a response to a similar theory, so I won't repeat the whole thing here. I will point out again that if it was all DD's plan, then he's more responsible than Snape for James and Lily's deaths. I just don't think that's a plot twist that furthers the JKR's intentions. It goes beyond giving Dumbledore a character flaw.
