3. He considers it more important, to try to teach his value to the 
children. That's also one reason why Voldemort wanted to be a 
teacher. The children are the one, who can still be formed. (Of 
course adults change and develop as well, but not so drastically as 
children do).

I do not, and will never, accept this theory. As if Dumbledore would 
beg for his life! Besides, Snape didn't show his true colours, when 
Dumbledore started to plead. All Snape did was entering the stage.
