Panhandle:
I can only speak for myself here. Snape's asking the three questions is
more or less OK, but perhaps a more even-handed teacher would have
called on another student after Harry failed to answer the first
question correctly. But, in my opinion, when Snape says things like
"Tut, tut--fame clearly isn't everything," he steps over the line of
appropriate teacher - student interaction. If Harry were acting like a
male wizard Paris Hilton, I could sympathize, but Harry hasn't said or
done a single thing to deserve that kind of snide comment. He's just an
11 year old kid. And, as someone who has taught at university level,
talking that way to a college student could land one in a lot of trouble.
