Aha.  Well, IMO it most certainly IS abuse, and that it has been
practiced by many for a long time in no way, form, or fashion excuses
it.  And if JKR is putting forth this attitude as you say... well,
she is a contemptible fool who deserves only to be derided.

Actually, I doubt very much if she has an "attitude" at all.  Like so
very much about her books, it doesn't seem like she has thought this
out very well.


Lupinlore, who observes all this, at least as far as JKR's ultimate
attitude, will mercifully be settled in 10 weeks.  Ah well, the
closing of an era, for better or for worse
