Goddlefrood:

Just taking this small point. I think, although I couldn't 
confirm, as I'm at work in many ways, that there was a mention 
of someone calling on the Weasleys to check on Ron's reason for 
absence. Apparently, becase spattergroit is so contagious, the 
official did not care to get too close. As was said at one point, 
no one wants to get too close to a sufferer and if it was a severe
 enough case the voice is lost.
