Well, I suggest we change your hypothetical just a little bit. How 
about instead of Malfoy we put there any other Slytherin, but 
somebody who does not call Muggleborns Mudbloods, if such Slytherins 
exist of course. I believe the analogy will be more accurate then.

And we will have Harry going around calling every other Muggleborn - 
Mudblood and we will have him call Hermione that.

So, to answer this hypothetical, if Hermione will want to stop being 
Harry's friend after that. Yeah, I will definitely support her on 
that. I do not think anybody should put up with stuff like that, not 
ever.
