No.Limberger, love and self-sacrifice of course existed before Christianity; they were put in the human heart by the God who created us.  But anyone with even a nodding acquaintance with Christian theology knows that love and self-sacrifice are at the core of that religion, as submission is of Islam and detachment is of Buddhism.  Hence, a literary work by a Christian author which based on that central theme may fairly be claimed as Christian work.
