seanmulligan2000:
Snape protected Harry from Quirell and stopped quirell from
getting the Philosopher Stone when Quirell released the troll
distraction. Snape protected Harry and his friends from Lupin
when Lupin turned into a werewolf and tried to save them from
Sirius when he thought Sirius was guilty. Snape showed Fudge
his Dark Mark to support Dumbledore's claim of Voldemorts
return. Snape tried to teach Harry Occlumency to protect
himself and Harry didn't bother to practice it. Snape saved
Dumbledore's life when Dumbledore's hand was cursed when
Dumbledore put on the locket. Snape tried to save his godson
from being a murderer to fulfill Dumbledore's plan resulting
in everone on the good side believing he was a traitor and
villifying him. As headmaster he tried to protect the students
from the Carrows and helped Harry and co while they were on
their Horcrux Hunt. Before Snape died he managed to give Harry
crucial information that was used to defeat Voldemort. Snape
also objected to Dumbledore using Harry as a tool to defeat
Voldemort without a regard for Harry's well being. Snape was
also best friends with Harry's mother for years and if he
hadn't made some bad choices, Harry would have been Harry
Snape.
