This part of the story really confuses me. I can't understand why
Narcissa lied. Yes, she wanted to go into the castle and search for
Draco, but I don't see how her lie helps her get there. She is
taking a serious risk in lying to Voldemort and the chance of being
discovered is very great. What if LV decides to check himself, or
what if he Crucios Harry (as he does) and Harry is not able to
withstand it? Avada Narcissa. If she says Harry still lives, LV
will (as far as Narcissa knows) just hit Harry again and kill him
this time. Then they will go into the castle. Her lie carrys a
great risk and not much gain. BTW where is Lucius at this point? We
last saw him in the Shrieking Shack and then he is in the castle with
Narcissa but not in between.
I am still not clear whether Harry was protected by his sacrifice or
by the wand's refusal to harm him, its true master. If it did not
know he was its master in the forest, when did it find out?
