Carol responds:

Obviously, Harry disagreed that Snape was an unworthy namesake,
calling him "probably the bravest man I ever knew." And, because he
admires bravery, he named his second son after Snape, as well as that
other headmaster without whom he would never have defeated Voldemort.

But Harry's first son is named for his father. I suspect that James's
middle name is Sirius. It would make sense to have one son named after
two Marauders, his father and godfather, and the other son after two
headmasters. Albus Sirius might *sound* all right, but, logically,
it's an odd combination. Not quite as odd, however, as James Severus
would have been!
