Laura says:
I am not a Snape fan and never have been. I think he was a nasty
piece of work. But it's funny. I'm Jewish, and according to our
tradition, Snape would have been pretty respectable. The rabbis say
that we have certain obligations, and we are to meet them whether we
like it or not. Snape didn't like helping Harry, and he showed it
many, many times. But he did what he felt obligated to do, and he
acted so as to try to repair the harm he had done in respect to Lily
to the greatest extent possible. So maybe I should admire him. But I
don't. Call me inconsistent.
