So do I on things alchemical which is precisely why Snape wouldn't
do that. He may be a pain in the backside but he does present his
instructions clearly, methodically and thoroughly. Otherwise I
suspect that the number of melted cauldrons etc. would rise
exponentially and, incidentally, in inverse proportion to the number
of top passes at OWL and NEWT levels.
