Uh, so you're saying that Harry is Snape's boy toy? That expelling Harry would be something of a sacrifice for Snape and therefore noble? 

I don't believe that Snape enjoys Harry's presence at all and would be glad to avoid him entirely. If he gets any satisfaction out of Harry's discomfort, it's the same that we get out of seeing a bad guy suffer. (So like you feel when Snape is discomforted; or like I feel when Nagini gets killed.)
