Perhaps not, but there is a point where it is made clear to him that he 
needs to consider remorse and his responses as it goes home make it 
clear that he rejects the idea...

"Yes, I dare," said Harry, "Because Dumbledore's last plan hasn't 
backfired on me at all. It's backfired on you, Riddle."'
