I didn't think about Barty Jr.'s dark mark when he was Bartmoody. There  
isn't any mention of his arms, as far as I can remember. As a teacher, though, 
 how often would his arms be exposed? IF it was there, it could have easily 
 remained covered the whole year without any suspicion. Also, if it was  
appearing on Bartmoodys arm, he wouldn't know right away as the mark was still 
 completely gone when initially turned into Moody (as in, he wouldn't 
notice it  disappearing when he changed, since it was already gone to begin 
with). 
 
In a related thought, do you think that he woke up every hour to take  the 
potion, or did he let himself turn back into Barty Jr while he slept?
