INTRO

***Name: Mahoney (yes, it's my handle, not my name)

***Nicknames/IDs: oneyedmoorsey, ftah3

***Age: 29

***Family: parents, sister, inlaws, husband, son, cats

***Home: near St. Louis, MO, USA

***Birthday, Place of Birth: birthday is Sept. 26.

***Education/Job/Role in Life etc: BA in literature; I make money by
training HR/Payroll people on various boring computer systems

***Other things we might want to know about you: I lurk

***First contact with Harry Potter: I don't remember

***Favourite Potter things (books, characters, ships, fics, objets
d'Art, general enthusing): I love the books, I'm perfectly happy in
advance with whatever Rowling intends to do with the characters, I
love the movies, I think Dan Radcliffe is adorable, I do not ship at
all though I'm not bothered by others' expressions of shippiness, and
I love my son's Aragog toy that snaps it's legs together when you
push a button on its back. His Ron toy is the usual victim. Poor Ron.

***Extent of Potter obsession: Not terribly obsessive, though I'm
sure I'll enthuse happily about book 5 and movie 3

***Other interests/activities: books, movies, long walks in woods,
playing with 4 year old son, cooking, etc ad nauseum

***Current/recent reading: I had thought of trying to read all of the
relevent books before The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comes
out, but pfff. Instead have been reading a great deal of poetry. Have
been off novels for a while actually. That may change next weekend.

***Current/recent listening: Maroon 5 (Songs About Jane), Barenaked
Ladies (greatest hits), matchbox twenty (Yourself or Someone Like
You), Dave Matthews Band (Busted Stuff), Goo Goo Dolls (Dizzy Up the
Girl), Evanescence (Fallen). Which is 6 times the amount of music I
usually listen to.

***Current/recent viewing: X2 blew me away. Recently watched Die
Another Day & Tadpole on DVD, both vv good
