HP Celebration activities

After dinner we had Harry Potter cookies. My oldest
son Brian called them that because we had sugar
cookies with Red and Green sprinkles for Gryfindor and
Slytherin and colored balls to represent the quidditch
match.

During the actual night of the big event, Carole and
Brian went to the party at "Books A Million", but
younger Brother Steve and I played Harry Potter games
with his rules enforced.

During our Wizard Chess match, we had action figure
Harry control one side and George Weasley control the
other. Pieces fly off the board when captured.

We played the Book 2 trivial pursuit where the dice
were rolled and players moved in odd configurations
based on Steve's whimsy.

The final game was Book 1 trivial pursuit. In which
we followed most of the rules, and he did his best
reading the cards. He has just finished Kindergarten
and is reading alot of words now. He spelled the hard
ones to me.

Of course, Steve won all 3 games. As it should be.
Now with Matthew and Steven in bed, I await the return
of Brian and Carole with the coveted OOPS in tow.
Brian gets his own copy this time.

I have enjoyed searching the internet and reading all
of the Harry Potter articles tonight! I hope your
evening has met expectations!

Red Eye Randy (I'm anticipating less sleep this week!)
