Pippin:
It can be symbolic and still a clue. The sixth obstacle in PS/SS is a
*logic* puzzle, and I can't help believe that the sixth book is too.
JKR is on record as worried that she made things too obvious, but
reassured that there are so many off the wall solutions out there.
Which means that the puzzle, whatever it is, *can* be solved.
