Kneasy:
> BBC reporting that Jo has announced title on
> her site, though I'm buggered if I can see it:
>
> Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
>
> Um.
> Two people will  die.
> Is that all? Hardly worth getting out of bed for.
>
> Oh, and the 'Do not Disturb' sign has gone.

SSSusan:
This has, unsurprisingly, generated quite a bit of speculation over at Main,
begun by Elfundeb.

Possibilities so far, based in particular upon attempts to find "noun"
defnitions for "Hallows," has generated:
1) a person, place or thing which is likely holy or sacred, or where only
the pure of heart can enter/return;
2) Godric's Hollow as such a "deathly" sacred place & a play on "Hallow;"
3) the possibility of a connection with the Locked Room in the Dept. of
Mysteries;
4) the possibility that it refers to All Hallow's Eve and even that it might
refer to two Halloweens -- the occasion of Harry's first encounter with
Voldy and this next Halloween;
5) that "deathly hallows," with "hallows" refering to a holy or powerful
object associated with death, might simply be another way of saying "Harry
Potter and the Horcruxes"

'Tis as far as I've gotten, since holiday baking, cards & gift-wrapping
await me.
