They mainly consider it undignified. (Picture a team of British blue-bloods being required to play professional rugby.)
I'll bet young Draco had plenty of interactions with his grandfather's stable of Hippogriffs, which might explain their mutual dislike. Draco really is a git, when you come right down to it.
