Can I make a plea not to reject these?  They were not mistakes when written; canon was inconsistent.  I'd want to preserve some of these arguments, even if JKR does claim that they're wrong.  A history of the fandom wouldn't be complete otherwise.  Besides, at the rate JKR is going, she'd soon make the cataloguing project obsolete if we took that approach. <g>

For what it's worth, I don't think her website qualifies as canon.  To me the Weasley age controversy isn't resolved unless and until she fixes the books.
