How do you write?

I take the hi-lo approach: one laptop and 5,000 post-it notes with
random phrases scribbled on them.

My first job out of college was at a copy desk, where I learned to
type like the wind. It's one of the most useful skills you can have,
actually. Now I can type as fast as people talk (when I'm doing
interviews etc.) I do think you miss something being pc- rather than
paper-based and not being able to go back and use those earlier,
crossed-out sentences, but since my first thoughts are rarely my best
(!), I've learned to adapt.
