I felt the same way until about a year ago, but now I wouldn't be
without it...not for phone calls, but for text messages. They're
brilliant for getting in touch with people when I just have a query
and don't have time for an actual conversation (once I start talking
I don't shut up for ages) or I don't want to disturb them with a
phone call. I tend to text friends more than call them. And I can't
get to the house phone half the time anyway, so texting me is easier.
Of course, primitive life forms who have the devices permanently
glued to their ears should be rounded up and herded over a cliff.
But that's just my humble opinion :)
